Short Stay Work Visas

Working holiday visas are popular because they’re accessible and give you a year (sometimes two or three) to test out life in Australia while working. If you’re under 31 and from an eligible country, you can apply yourself without an agency. The process is straightforward enough that paying someone to do it doesn’t make sense for most people.

The trickier question: can you land in Australia on a tourist visa or working holiday visa and then switch to a 482 work visa once you’re here? Maybe. It depends on visa conditions, job offers, and timing. It’s not the clean pathway most people hope for, but it’s not impossible either.
