Many expats moving to Sydney choose to go with a Catholic school rather than a public school, especially if they move on a 482 TSS visa or another temporary visa. This is because temporary visa holders are required to pay tuition for public school attendance. It is often the case that a private Catholic school charges the same tuition or maybe slightly more than the public school for temporary visa holders. The other benefit is there are no enrollment areas since they are private schools and not public.
