Instead, to maintain the quality of content on the site, we only accept content we have commissioned from experienced freelance writers and bloggers.
Do you have professional writing experience? Or do you have a blog of your own that you write for?
Then we’d love to hear from you!
At Sydney Moving Guide, we don’t ever assign articles. Instead, we prefer writers pitch us on their experiences and the topics they can cover. Our goal is to publish high-quality content based on first-hand knowledge of living in Australia or Australian travel destinations.
We ideally work with professional freelance writers or experienced bloggers, or in some cases with expats who are based in Australia. Please mention your past work, your own blog, or writing portfolio.
Authentic first-hand knowledge is critical! We’re not looking for cookie cutter or rewritten content. We’re trying to select contributors based on their personal knowledge.
If a topic is in our top menu bar then we’re open to articles about it.
We’re most interested in practical guides that help people moving to Australia or settling into life as an expat. NOT travel diaries. Our audience is from all over the world, mostly professionals moving to Australia for work with their families.
Enter “I love Sydney” in the subject line below so that we know you have taken the time to read our requirements and understand them. We only reply to requests with this in the subject line.
Payment is via PayPal (or, if preferred, via Upwork).
Our standard rate is $0.20 per word.
As a reminder, we mostly work with experienced freelance writers, expats, and locals with in-depth knowledge of Australia. We read every email but may not be able to give a personal response in every case.
