At Sydney Moving Guide, we don’t ever assign articles. Instead, we prefer writers pitch us on their experiences and the topics they can cover. Our goal is to publish high-quality content based on first-hand knowledge of living in Australia or Australian travel destinations.
We ideally work with professional freelance writers or experienced bloggers, or in some cases with expats who are based in Australia. Please mention your past work, your own blog, or writing portfolio.
Authentic first-hand knowledge is critical! We’re not looking for cookie cutter or rewritten content. We’re trying to select contributors based on their personal knowledge.
If a topic is in our menu bar then we’re open to articles about it.
We’re most interested in practical guides that help people moving to Australia or settling into life as an expat. NOT travel diaries. Our audience is from all over the world, mostly professionals moving to Australia for work with their families.

Our standard rate is $0.20 per word.
